DAYCARE NURSERY
In January 2023, we changed from Helping Hands Childminders to Helping Hands Daycare when we became a registered nursery in our brand-new premises. We are open 50 weeks of the year between the hours of 7.00am and 6.00pm. As we are a registered day care setting, we can offer 15 and 30 hours funded sessions and non-funded sessions with a minimum 3-day policy. We have a team of 6 dedicated staff members, all with a variety of experience and qualifications to support and nurture our children.
DAYCARE NURSERY STAFF
Katie joined us at our new premises in January 2023 as Room Leader. She has a Level 3 Childcare qualification and has gained experience in different nursery settings, whilst completing her qualification. In her spare time, Katie loves to help her family friends with taking care of their children and enjoys shopping and spending time with her friends.

Shannon joined us in March 2023 as Room Leader. She has a Level 3 Childcare qualification and has several years’ experience working in nurseries and early years’ settings in Sunderland since she completed her education. Shannon has a little boy who in their spare time love to go on adventures walking and exploring new places.

Kaitlyn joined us in April 2023 as our apprentice. She has a huge passion for working with children and will be completing her childcare qualification with us whilst working on the job. Kaitlyn has experience caring for young children within her family and we are delighted to have her as our apprentice.

POINTS TO NOTE...
- We are closed for all UK Bank Holidays and Christmas Holidays, in line with Sunderland School Term Dates.
- There is a minimum 3-day per week booking policy.
- All payments must be made in advance of sessions, either weekly each Monday or a monthly set date each month.
- If the times cross over both sessions, then the full day fee will be charged.
- We charge a late payment fee of £5 per day for all late payments.
- We close at 5.30pm every Friday.

WRAP AROUND CARE
Wrap Around Care is available with 15 or 30 Hours Funded Places for the following prices;
- 7.00am – 9.00am (£10 per day)
- 3.00pm – 6.00pm (£15 per day)
PLEASE NOTE...
Funded hours do not include meals therefore, a packed lunch should be provided or there will be a charge of £2.50 per meal per day.
